Vehicles are more and more connected to other vehicles, road infrastructure, pedestrians, and data centers. Vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication technology not only increases safety but also improves traffic and transportation efficiency. ZF Group announced it has integrated Autotalks’ V2X chipsets in its 2getthere autonomous shuttles. Initial deployment is planned in a large European airport.
Technology company Sreda Solutions of Russia has teamed with Israeli chip and technology provider Autotalks to roll introduce the V2X automated wireless data communications technology to the Russian and further global markets.

On April 28, the Alliance for Automotive Innovation announced a consensus on how the 5.9 GHz Safety Spectrum band will be used by the two V2X competing technologies – C-V2X and DSRC. The proposal was included in a regulatory filing with the Federal Communication Commission (FCC) as well as in a letter to U.S. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao. However, the consensus cannot be regarded as a commitment to a single radio standard for V2X services.

V2X technology provider and fabless chipmaker Autotalks, Ltd. has announced that the second generation of its chipsets are FIPS certified for secure C-V2X or DSRC deployment in the US. The message comes a few weeks after the company announced the market maturity of a specific V2X solution for the Chinese market.
